Traceable Agricultural Products (TAP)
                             Ensuring Safety Through Transparency



             In response to growing food safety awareness and
           consumer protection needs, the Agriculture and Food Agency
           promotes a comprehensive traceability certification system.
           The AFA has established the Taiwan Good Agricultural Practice
           (TGAP) standards to assess production risks for agricultural
           products, which includes bee products, and identify critical
           points for risk control. These standards guide producers in
           proper material use and record-keeping to ensure transparent
           production processes and traceable product flow.
             Consumers can access production information by
           scanning QR Codes on product package with their
           smartphones. The system incorporates third-party certification,
           and when violations occur, affected product batches are
           recalled, removed from shelves, and destroyed, with penalties
           imposed according to regulations. This process strengthens
           agricultural product safety.
