Agricultural Plan for Smart
Climate-Resilient Facilities:

Building a New Look for Rural Areas

Since 2017, the AFA has been helping vegetable, fruit, and flower farmers build structurally
reinforced greenhouses and net houses to address the impact of climate change and strengthen
their disaster resilience. The agency also introduces smart, automated environmental control
systems to optimize growing conditions. These facilities, combined with organic and traceability
certification programs, drive eco-friendly farming while improving product quality and supply
stability.
The AFA has supported the establishment of 28 agricultural facility demonstration sites at
agricultural research and extension stations under the Ministry of Agriculture. These sites
showcase regional crop facility cultivation models that integrate smart modules for automated
labor-saving cultivation. They serve as training grounds featuring hands-on operation and
technical demonstrations where farmers can enhance their professional skills. These integrated
facilities help modernize rural agricultural practices and transform the rural landscape.
