              Promoting the Fruit Industry’s Value Addition:
              Expanding Export Markets



                                               The AFA upgrades the industry and promotes its
                                             value growth by establishing an integrated supply chain
                                             for Taiwan’s premium fruits that links production,
                                             operations, and sales. The agency guides marketing-
                                             capable entities in developing high-quality fruit orchards,
                                             establishing supply systems based on contract farming
                                             and marketing, and forming fruit-specific service teams
                                             to produce fruits that meet target market demands. The
                                             AFA also coordinates seasonal promotions for tropical
                                             fruits and develops new export markets to establish long-
                                             term sales channels for premium fruits.













                                               The AFA utilizes scientific research to develop
                                             processing technologies that yield diverse fruit products
                                             and collaborates with businesses and distribution
                                             channels on marketing and food education activities to
                                             increase product value and consumption while building
                                             a premium brand image. The agency also optimizes post-
                                             harvest processing and cold-chain equipment in fruit
                                             processing facilities, provides guidance on processing
                                             technologies, and supports producers in obtaining ISO,
                                             HACCP, and traceability certifications to enhance the
                                             competitiveness of processed fruit products.
