once made a daily shipment record of 170 MTs. As of now, this once lagging 20-year-old
APMG has caught up by claiming a top 10 spot in the APMG contest, which is a living proof

APMG No. 7 of Aquaculture, Jiadung Township (Pingtung County) — Striving
for change, achieving export-grade quality with safe aquaculture operation
With great togetherness, Jiadung APMG No.7 embraced changes on the technology front,
like staying adherence to environment friendly guidelines and using video surveillance system
to monitor the live situation of their fish farm. They apply probiotics to improve the water
quality and use high-magnification microscopes to check and inquire about fish illnesses.
With more precautionary measures taken, group members can better cope with production
risks. Facing the market competition, the APMG worked together and, as the result, enabled
80% of its members to obtain the certification required for exporting to the EU. This shows
their genuine concern for quality and safety and the ambition of looking beyond just domestic
market into the global stage.
