                                              稻米是臺灣主要作物,全國稻田耕作面積

                                            約占三成,主要分布在彰化縣、雲林縣、臺中
                                            市、嘉義縣、花蓮縣及臺南市。依米質特性區
                                            分為稉米、秈米和糯米 3 大類。稉米形狀圓短、
                                            顏色透明,煮熟後具黏性且軟 Q 適中;秈米形
                                            狀細長,具透明度,適合作為加工原料;糯米
                                            顏色不透明,煮熟後較軟、黏,適合製作釀酒、
                                            湯圓、粽子、米糕及油飯等。







































                Rice is Taiwan's primary crop, occupying approximately 30%
              of the country’s total agricultural land. Major rice-growing regions
              include Changhua County, Yunlin County, Taichung City, Chiayi
              County, Hualien County , and Tainan City. Taiwan produces three
              main types of rice, each with distinct characteristics: Japonica,
              Indica, and Glutinous rice. Japonica rice has round and short
              grains with a translucent appearance and cooks to a moderately
              soft, sticky texture. Indica rice features long, slender, translucent
              grains and is particularly suited for processing. Glutinous rice has
              an opaque appearance and becomes soft and sticky when
              cooked, making it perfect for foods such as rice wine, tangyuan,
              zongzi, rice cakes, and Chinese sticky rice.
