Dong Li Specialized Rice Production and Marketing Area was

established in 2007 in coordination with government’ s policy. The

Specialized Area is responsible for gathering farmers with common

idea, integrating cultivation varieties, enhancing the overall harvest of

the crops, and enlarging the scale of local agriculture. Now, the

Specialized Area has 126 contract farmers working on 600 hectares (34

hectares organic), and produces 60 tons fine grains each day. The

drying center has the capacity of drying rough rice 300 tons a day. And

the 13,200 m2 refrigeration warehouse can load 3000 tons. The

Specialized Area is guided and assisted by National Cheng Kung

University on planting, harvesting, and packaging, and has qualified

production and marketing authentication.
