Those who come to Yushi Area would say, “ Yushi soil is sticky.” One
side is the Coastal Range, the other is the Central Mountain Range.
What is nurtured in between are the beautiful towns, Yuli and Zhuoshi.
The Xiuguluan River runs through the valley, and the paddy fields
spread criss-cross for more than 4,000 hectares. In fact, the soil here is
not only sticky but breeds the winners year after year—Yushi Rice. To
protect consumers’ interests, Yu Shi Area Farmers’ Association has
invested huge money to set up a dust-free tourism rice milling factory:
storage, milling, color sorting, and packaging processings are under
strict control. In addition, the Association also organizes six courses on
rice farming workshops every year, so that Yushi’ s pollution-free
environment can nurture rich, palatable and elastic grains with
excellent quality.
