Xinyuan, Pingtung on the Liyu Mountain alluvial plain, which is
abundant with good quality groundwater and fertile lands. Farmers
plant rice seedlings before the spring equinox and take care of them
with full attention. Therefore, our rice is named “ Chun Shang Rice,”
which means top spring rice.
